At Spotlight Self Tapes, you can count on showcasing the best take of your performance at the highest cinematic level. Unlike most self tape services in New York, we exclusively use top-of-the-line digital cinema equipment (view our standard equipment here) because we believe professional results require professional tools.
We can accommodate musical theater auditions with an audio file of accompaniment or, with prior arrangement, can move a keyboard into the room (though you’ll need to provide your own accompanist). Our studio-quality audio gear ensures you always sound your best!

Our hours are 9am-9pm Monday-Friday and 11am-6pm Saturday-Sunday. After-hours booking may be available on a case-by-case basis for an additional 20% fee, email spotlightselftapes@lupoblu.com to inquire about an after-hours appointment!
PLEASE NOTE:
- Spotlight Self Tapes has a 24-hour cancellation policy. Once your appointment is confirmed, you may cancel for no charge at least 24 hours before the start time of your appointment. For any cancellations with less than 24-hour notice or missed appointments (including late arrivals), you agree to pay the full session fee.
- We do custom color correction and audio mixing on each video. One processed take of each clip (scenes, slates, etc) is included. Additional takes may be added for $5 for up to 5 minutes of material or $10 for up to 10 minutes of material.
- Time-permitting you would like to continue past the end of your booking, you may do so for $10 for each additional 5-minute period. The ability to continue past your scheduled time slot is not guaranteed.

Remote Audition/Callback Session | $85.00
45 minutes from scheduled start time
- For a standard Eco Cast Live or Zoom audition or callback up to 30 minutes in length.
Please schedule for 15-minutes before your appointment time, which will allow us to test the connection and get all levels set before you enter the virtual casting session. If you anticipate your appointment being longer than 30 minutes, please let us know and you can add time at $20/15-minutes.
This Session also includes a full 4K recording of your end of the audition, along with audio of the virtual reader (if applicable). For privacy reasons, we do not record video of the other end of these appointments. - Typical turnaround is within 4 hours
Acting Coaching | $100.00
1 hour coaching session
- If you combine a one-hour coaching session with a taping session on the same day, you get 10% off your Video Audition session.
- Add an archival video (NOT suitable for public/industry viewing) of your session for $10.
- Coaching sessions may be held on Zoom, in our studio on 38th Street at 8th Avenue, or in a rehearsal studio (client is responsible for studio rental fees).

On-Location Self Tapes & Cinematic Reel Clips
Whether you want to shoot a self tape or clip for your reel in your own home, your vocal coach’s studio, or a custom location, we can bring a full cinematic setup to you anywhere in NYC (or further, with additional travel fees). Each option includes: 4K Cinema Camera, Lens, Tripod, 2x Media cards, batteries, 1x shotgun microphone, and 2x wireless lav microphones. Additional items like lighting, 32-bit audio recorders, gimbals, etc. may be added for an additional fee.
