Spotlight Self Tapes is a video production studio located on 38th Street in Midtown Manhattan, dedicated to providing actors with cinematic self tapes as quickly and enjoyably as possible. Our rates begin at $25 for a 10 minute session, $45 for a 25 minute session, or $65 for a 55 minute session. We also provide in-studio filming services for small businesses and non-profits looking to take their social media and/or explainer videos to the next level. With Spotlight Self Tapes, you are filmed on a 4.6K cinema camera with cinema lenses, top-of-the line audio and lighting gear, and working with readers who are professional actors, coaches, and teachers so that your self tapes always match the dedication and quality that you bring to your own artistry.

We’re founded and run by actors, so we get it. Auditioning can be a stressful experience, antithetical to what you love and hunger for as an artist. That’s why we have one simple goal: to make you love your audition.
We work with you as artists – Everyone on our staff is an actor as well as a skilled coach and director. This means you’ll be in the room with someone who is invested in insuring that you look your best, can give clear and experienced feedback (when requested), and is a skilled reader to generously support your work.
We respect your time and your money – Our rates start at $25 for a 10-minute Express appointment with up to two takes of a one-page side, a one-minute monologue, or a single SlateShot (view all rates and details or email us with your particular needs): You’ve done your work, you’d knock it out in 5 minutes in the Casting Director’s office, so why spend more time or money than you need to at a self-tape studio?
We provide same-day delivery on most appointments – Last-minute self-tape requests barely give you time to breathe before the submission is due. With our fast standard turnaround, you can spend more time preparing your side and less time wondering when it’ll show up in your inbox. Typical turnaround is within 2 hours — if you need it even faster, just let us know!
